Peter D. Retalliata, Director, President and Chief Executive Officer


Mr. Rettaliata has been our President and Chief Executive Officer, and also a member of our Board of Directors, since November 30, 2005. He has been the President of Air Industries Machining Corporation and has served in such capacity since 1994. Prior to his involvement at Air Industries Machining Corp., Mr. Rettaliata was employed by Grumman Aerospace Corporation for twenty-two years. While at Grumman Mr. Rettaliata attained the position of Senior Procurement Officer for the Company.

Professionally, Mr. Retalliata is the Chairman of “ADAPT”, an organization of regional aerospace companies, a past member of the Board of Governors of the Aerospace Industries Association, and a member of the Executive Committee of the AIA Supplier Council. Mr. Rettaliata is a graduate of Niagara University where he received a B.A. in History and the Harvard Business School where he completed the PMD Program.

Louis A. Giusto, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

Mr. Giusto, our Vice Chairman, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer since November 30, 2005, has over 30 years of financial control experience with foreign an domestic banks, non-bank financial service entitles and consumer product companies. Since 2003, Mr. Giusto has acted as an independent consultant to a number of private companies. From 2000 to 2003, Mr. Giusto was an Account Manager for a public accounting firm also the SVP Finance and Operations and a principal of Credit2B.com a web-based internet company bringing to market advanced credit decision platforms and sophisticated small business lending, insurance, securitization and factoring products.

Before joining C2B, Mr. Giusto served for fourteen years in various positions with Fleet Bank and, prior to its acquisition by Fleet bank, NatWest PLC, London. During his tenure at NatWest, Mr. Giusto served as Senior Financial Officer and Treasurer of NatWest Commercial Services, Inc. (a billion dollar wholly owned subsidiary of NatWest PLC, London) and a Credit Administrator (Risk Manager) with Fleet Bank. Mr. Giusto serves as a director of Long Island Consultation Center, a not-for-profit psychiatric care facility in Long Island, New York. Mr. Giusto graduated from New York University with a BS in Economics and Accounting and from Long Island University with an MBA in Finance.

Dario Peragallo, Executive Vice President and Secretary

Mr. Peragallo, who since November 30, 2005 has been a member of our Board of Directors, is also the Executive Vice President. He has been associated with Air Industries Machining Corporation for over twenty five years. He was elevated in 2000 to be the Director of Manufacturing. In addition, he has helped develop and maintain Air Industries Machining Corporation’s current business operations. Mr. Peragallo has been the Company’s “Lean Advocate” since the inception of the program at AIM to decrease its inventory and increase productivity. He has led Air Industries Machining Corp. on its “Lean” course of evolution and has participated in numerous “Lean Events.”  Mr. Peragallo became Executive Vice President in 2003 with overall responsibility for internal operations that include engineering, manufacturing and customer-critical technical matters and developing new customer relation.

He is a graduate of SUNY Farmingdale where he received a B.A. in Manufacturing Engineering. Mr. Peragallo oversees all engineering and production matters relating to Air Industries Machining Corp.

Gary Settoducato, President of Welding Metallurgy, Inc. Subsidiary

Gary Settoducato was appointed as President of Welding Metallurgy, Inc. in September 2007.  Prior to this appointment, Mr. Settoducato had been a senior executive of Air Industries Machining Corp., the Company’s primary operating subsidiary which forms the basis of its Contract Manufacturing Platform.  Welding Metallurgy was acquired by Air Industries Group on August 27, 2007, to establish the Welding and Fabrication Platform.
Mr. Settoducato is an aerospace industry veteran of over 23 years, including nearly 14 years with Air Industries.  Beginning his career in the prestigious Grumman Aerospace Corporation PROFIT Program (Procurement Related Opportunities From Instructional Training), he has a proven track record of procurement and long-term contract administration for major military and commercial aircraft and heavy machinery programs.  From middle management to executive level positions, Mr. Settoducato has amassed significant expertise in international offset negotiations, and development of information systems relating to supplier management/analysis, business and finance reporting, and manufacturing and regulatory compliance.
At Air Industries, his primary responsibilities have included procurement management and program management, including the Northrop Grumman Post-Production Spares Alliance, under which all machined spare components and assemblies for Northrop Grumman heritage aircraft were provided by Air Industries. This program has been extremely successful, and as a result was extended from its original contract period.  

A graduate of the CW Post Center of Long Island University (LIU), summa cum laude, with a dual major in management and marketing, he was the first graduate of the School of Business to be selected as Valedictorian in the school’s history.  Business and industry certifications and training include Six Sigma, ITAR Regulations, and U.S. Export Controls (U.S. Department of Commerce).

Carole Tate, President of Sigma Metals Inc. Subsidiary

Carole Tate began her career in the metals business in 1965 at Atlas supply in Mineola, N.Y. She continued with General Aerospace Materials in Plainview, N.Y. and Generations Metals in Hauppauge, N.Y. She resigned from General Aerospace to start Sigma Metals, Inc.

George Elkins, Chief Executive Officer of Sigma Metals, Inc. Subsidiary

Mr. Elkins began his career in the metals business in 1956 at Tube Distributors in Garden City, N.Y. In 1969, he moved to General Aerospace Materials in Plainview, N.Y. In 1994, he resigned as Executive Vice-President and partner to start Sigma Metals, Inc.

James A. Brown, Chairman


James A. Brown has over 25 years of leadership experience building micro and small-cap companies. While focusing on capital formation, execution, and mergers and acquisitions, Mr. Brown has built enterprises in the public and private arenas, in a diverse range of industries. Mr. Brown serves as a Chairman of Air Industries Group, Inc. (OTCBB:AIRI), for whom he has been a Director since November 2005.  Mr. Brown serves in a Board or advisory capacity with several other firms, including Preferred Commerce, a privately held, seven year old technology solutions provider headquartered in West Palm Beach, and Personics, a development stage Florida-based firm focused on bringing scientific breakthroughs in the acoustic arena to the consumer market.

From 2003 thru 2005, Mr. Brown served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Health and Nutrition Systems International, a publicly traded supplier of nutritional supplements. Mr. Brown has served as a private equity manager, targeting undervalued opportunities in both the public and private arenas. Since 1996, he has served as a work-out specialist for firms at the behest of creditors, management, and investors. Mr. Brown has served as a Director for eight firms and has advised more than thirty.

Mr. Brown began his career within the Plastics Group of American Cyanamid Corporation and was instrumental in transforming the Company into a market share and profit leader. After 13 years with Cyanamid Mr. Brown led a group of investors who purchases the assets of an ailing health care provider in South Florida in 1993, and formed Care America. The Company developed a proprietary outpatient program that pioneered the delivery of rehabilitative medicine to Parkinson patients and rolled it out nationally.

Mr. Brown received his MBA in finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and received his BSBA from the University of Florida. Mr. Brown has lectured at several institutions on business process and strategy, including the Center for Creative Leadership (NC).

Seymour G.  Siegel, Director

Mr. Siegel, a member of our Board and Chairman of the Audit Committee since November 30, 2005, has been a principal in the Business Consulting Group of Rothstein Kass. Rothstein Kass is a national firm of accountants and consultants with over 800 members and offices in 8 cities. He specializes in providing strategic advice to business owners including merger acquisition; succession planning; capital introductions and long range planning. From 1974-1990 he was managing partner and founder of Siegel Rich and Co., P.C., CPA’s which merged into Weiser LLP, a larger regional firm where he was a senior partner until forming Sigel Rich Inc. in 1994 which in April 2000 became a division of Rothstein Kass.

Mr. Siegel has been a director, trustee and officer of numerous business, philanthropic and civic organizations.

He is currently the Chairman of the Audit Committee of Hauppauge Digital Inc., Emerging Vision, Inc. and Global Aircraft Solutions, Inc. and has served as a Director and member of the Audit Committee of Barpoint.com, Oak Hill Capital Fund, Prime Motor Inns Limited Partnership and Noise Cancellation Technologies.

General Ira A. Hunt, Jr. (USA, Ret.), Director

General Hunt, a member of our Board since November 30, 2005, graduated from the Untied States Military Academy in 1945 and subsequently served thirty-three (33) years in various command and staff positions in the U.S. Army, retiring from active military service as a Major General in  1978. His last military assignment was as Director of the Office of Battlefield Systems Integration. Subsequently, General hunt was president of Pacific Architects and Engineers in Los Angeles and Vice President of Frank E. Basil, Inc. in Washington D.C. Since 1990, General Hunt has been a director of SafeNet, Inc. (Nasdaq: SFNT), an information security technology company. He is a Freeman Scholar of the American Society of Civil Engineers and has a M.S. in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a M.B.A. from the University of Detroit; a Doctor of the University Degree from University of Grenoble, France and a Doctor of Business Administration Degree from the George Washington University. General Hunt is a member of the Compensation Committee and the Audit Committee of the Board.

David J. Buonanno, Director

David J. Buonanno, a member of our board since July 2007, He is also consultant to Dresser-Rand Corporation as well as other companies in the aerospace and defense industries. Mr. Buonanno has extensive experience in manufacturing, supply management and operations. He was employed with Sikorsky Aircraft, Inc., a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation, as Vice President, Supply Management (from January 1997 to July 2006) and as Director, Systems Subcontracts (from November 1992 to January 1997). From May 1987 to November 1992, he was employed by General Electric Company and GE Astro Space from December 1989 to January 1992. From June 1977 to May 1987, he was employed by RCA and affiliated companies, including RCA Astro Space.

Mr. Buonanno attended Lehigh University College of Electrical Engineering and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Rutgers University. He completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School in 1996.
